I have an ongoing series of reduction woodblock prints based on the views out of a glass block window at our house. Each print is based on a single block of woood. There are generally 6-7 colors printed in register from that single block. I cut out the lightest images first, then print. Each successively darker color is printed, then the block is cut away in those areas to preserve it until all the colors have been printed. Once the print has been completed, there is not enough surface left on the block to print any more, so the edition is forced to be limited to that one and only print run. There are 15 in each edition.
